For photovoltaic ESS (Energy Storage System) distribution boards and other panels where the interior space is too limited to install standard automatic fire extinguishing systems, the device is installed outside the panel. A 6 mm diameter tube is routed into the panel's interior, and when a fire occurs, the fire is detected at the point nearest the flame. The fire detection tube ruptures, releasing the extinguishing agent directly at the source of the fire.
